Treasurer�s Report - Annette Kibler

The current balance is

$24,792.00.

Our profit from the 2007 conference was $10,017.27.

Secretary Report - Alisa Starbuck

The annual business meeting of CANNP was called to order by president Lee Shirland at 5:05pm on April 19, 2007 in Greenville, SC. A quorum was established by Alisa Starbuck with 17 members present. Minutes from the April 27, 2006 were available to the membership. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes.

Annette Kibler, treasurer, reported an account balance of $16,047.51. She noted that most of the expenses for the conference had not yet been paid. Judy Philbrook, member at large, reported that currently CANNP had 46 members who had renewed with 5 being new members: As compared to previous years prior to the conference, 64 members (2006) and 44 members (2005). Letters will be mailed to individuals as a reminder of the need for renewal. Members may also obtain the membership application from the web site. One and two year memberships were offered. Thirty individuals renewed for 1 year and 1.2 members renewed for 2 yrs. The June newsletter will contain a summary of the conference. Treasure Snyder and her conference planning group were commended for their excellent work. Approximately $11,000 from vendors were collected.

Lee Shirland reported that officer updates will be included in the upcoming newsletter.

Carolyn Jones announced that no applicants were received for the Peer Recognition Award. She encouraged members to nominate some of their well deserving peers. No research dollars had been requested. The educational scholarship was awarded to Karen Fennell.

Old Business: None

New Business:

Annual Business Meeting: Suggestion made for business meeting to be held at lunch vs. at the end of the day. Group agreed to recommend to the conference planning committee. Business meeting will occur at lunch during the first day of the conference.

New Organization: Lee Shirland presented information concerning the newly organized NANNP which will be under NANN.

 NANN is providing sponsorship and financial support for the group. A steering committee was selected to represent geographical areas of the US. NANNP would like to establish an affiliation with NNP groups, including CANNP. This will not change the independent functioning of established NNP organizations. A formal survey will be mailed from NANNP. SIG will continue to exist under the NANN umbrella as well.

Bylaw Change: A motion was made and seconded to change the bylaws. The bylaw which reads "Maintain the current membership including addresses on the computer program mail list" will change from Member-at Large to Vice President

The meeting was adjourned at 1810.

Member-at-Large - Judy Philbrook:

CANNP had 51 members on April 19th (annual business meeting). Five of these were new members. Reminder letters were mailed to those who had not renewed and we currently have 70 members. Members were also given the option to renew for 2 years for the first time this year. Twenty five members chose to do this.
